Bird-X YG Yard Gard Ultrasonic Animal Repeller
hubpages.com The olden days have the scare crow. Scare crows were used to frighten the birds and keep them from eating the soon to be harvested farm crops, especially grains. However, there seems to be a problem here. Scare crows are limited for farms and for scaring the crows away. Since there have been drastic changes and evident changes in the society, it is not only the farm that people should keep. More so, it is not only the crow that people should keep away to have a bountiful harvest and be productive. Being productive itself is not anymore the appropriate term. Usually, it is not productivity that is the initial goal but simply moving away from chaos and maintaining aesthetics in the area. There are products being manufactured as animal repeller. These products are effective not only to drive away the crows but also to drive away even walking animals like stray dogs, feral cats, deer, rabbits and other animals. One effective product is Bird-X YG Yard Gard Ultrasonic Animal Repeller. This is a more humane alternative to chemicals. Chemicals are harmful both to human beings and to the environment as well. This is also better to use than traps. Bird-X YG Yard Gard Ultrasonic Animal Repeller is effective up to 4000 square feet. This product uses YardGard technology which is activated by an infrared motion sensor when a pest moves into its range. What happens after this is that sonic and ultrasonic sounds send them packing. This product has an AC cord and it can even …
Do the various ultrasonic animal repeller devices work against deer? example: Bird-X YG…?
…Gard and Bell & Howell models.
The deer are lovely animals but they are no respecters of property. They eat everything in sight including grass, flowers and vegetables. While we don’t want to harm them, we sure would like to drive them away. A friend of ours told us that there are various ultrasonic animal repellers but, while they are sometimes effective against dogs and cats, they probably don’t work with deer.
deer scared by (water) scarecrow
Deer playing chase with my Dad’s dog gets scared by water sprinkler
Is this going to bother my neighbors?
I bought a Yard Guard ultrasonic pest repeller for the deer in my back yard. I know that a dog’s hearing range overlaps a deer’s but I am wondering if it will bother their dogs (they are inside/outside). It would be pointed in my neighbor’s direction, but it has to go about 15′ to my fence, about 10′ more and then they have a fence (both are 6′ wood fences with very small gaps). TIA
I haven’t put the darn thing up YET. I just wanted some opinions on whether the sound range, being interrupted by both fences and possibly a house, could still get to the dogs.

Do Ultrasonic Animal Repellers work?
We have deer eating our plants in the yard. Would an ultrasonic animal repeller work, or would it just annoy us and the neighbors’ dogs with the noise?
Also, would it work long-term, or would the deer figure it out?
Thanks.
Animal repellent for problem visitors in the garden – Dave’s MASTERS Method
MASTERS – Multi-Aspect Sensory-Targeted Enemy Response System. Having a problem with deer or other unwelcome animals turning your “red gold” into brown gold? Fences a bit unsightly? Here’s a deer (or any animal) repellent technique for the backyard garden using a motion-activated water sprinkler ( I bought it on amazon), along with a homemade piece, a couple of pie plates with a bar of Irish Spring soap inside to serve up a nasty dose of sound (sprinkler and drum sound from water hitting pie pans), sight (the water spout and the wobbling, spinning pie pans with a scary face sporting fangs), smell (irish spring soap), taste (irish spring soap) and touch (water spray). This allows the attacker (you!) to hit on all of the intruder’s senses at once. An overwhelming display of force. The proverbial “Shock and Awe”. Message to intruder: You are not welcome here! The sprinkler works like it is supposed to, and the pie plates add another angle to trying to get a handle on problem animals. Water enters into the holes I made for the “eyes” on the pie pans. It drips over the soap and exits throungh a little hole on the bottom of the pie pans. After the sprinkler goes off, you can definitely see and smell soapy water dripping from the bottom of the pie pans. Some of the diluted soapy water may get sprayed on the enemy as it drips out the bottom of the pie pans during an event., whicjh is a beautiful thing. The plants emerge completely untainted. This method is much easier than …
